ANNOUNCEMENTS

Students worked hard this week with our review assignments! We had a lot of success with our math standard dealing with decimals! Students have been keeping an in-class data binder to track their scores on various review assignments for reading, math, and science, and they are enjoying being able to see where they have been most successful with their work!

We are finished tutoring for the remainder of the school year!

Before Spring Break students were assigned their States Project, and that will be due April 29th. They have two components to this project - a research component and a poster component. The rubric for these components were sent home Monday. Today we went over what the poster portion of their project should look like, and students made a model of the example I did in class so they can be most successful.

Next week on Wednesday - Friday I will be away with the students who are going on the Trip to Washington, DC! Students who are not attending the trip have a project to work on in class on Wednesday, April 24th.  On Thursday and Friday, students will be watching two movies that connect to things that we will be learning while away in DC. Please be sure to sign the permission slip for those movies if your child will be in school on Thursday and Friday next week.

Next Friday is River Mill Academy’s Spring Fling from 5:30 - 7:30pm! There will be food trucks, vendors, inflatables, a DJ and even a chance to pie some staff members! Be sure to check it out!

Progress reports are being released today so please be sure to keep checking your child’s Powerschool grades.
