Weekly Update for 4/15/2024

As we go into the last bit of the school year, we will still be going strong, to help the kids prepare for the faster pace that 2nd grade will bring them.

VOCABULARY FOR THE WEEK:

Shark, Third, Number, Father, Water, Nurse, World, Day, Play, Rain, Today, Very, trail

I will be posting VOCABULARY WORDS on my website under the Vocabulary and Sight Words Tab. We will continue to do vocabulary until the week before school gets out for Summer Break.

CLASSROOM NEEDS: We could use some books(nothing falling apart) for our class library. We only have what myself and Mrs. Vickrey have brought in for the kids to read. We could also use some bottled water. We have quite a few friends who do not bring water bottles with them and they are losing instructional time every time they have to go to the water fountain to drink water. We allow them to keep a water bottle in their designated spot in our door hanger. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE BOOKS THAT HAVE BEEN SENT IN!

FIELD DAY: Thursday, May 2nd. As more information is given to us, I will send it on to you! We’re so excited that Coach Russell is back from maternity leave and we will get to have our field day!

END OF THE YEAR PIZZA PARTY: We will be holding an end of the year pizza party during the last week of school. We will be ordering the pizza from Domino’s. I will send out a sign up genius once we finalize a few other details.

Thank you all so much for everything you have done to make this a wonderful school year. Mrs. Vickrey and I are truly blessed to have you as our parents.

May 22: Last day of school, ½ day NO AFTERSCHOOL
